1. What we do not do
- We do not collect personal information of any kind, from children or adults.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, tracking or advertising identifiers.
- We do not include any third-party analytics or advertising software.
- We do not offer accounts, logins, sign-ups, chat or social features.
- We do not sell or share any data, because we have none.
- We do not link to outside websites from inside the game.
2. What is stored on your device
Colour Wise keeps a small amount of game data in the app's own private storage on your phone or tablet:
- The number of stars earned and which stickers have been collected
- Best scores for the three timed levels of Tap the Colour
- Your settings: sound effects and spoken words on or off
- Whether the extra games have been unlocked
This data never leaves the device and is not linked to you in any way. Deleting the app removes it. The game never asks for a name.
3. The optional purchase
Four games are free. A single one-time purchase unlocks six more. The buy button is inside the grown-ups area, behind a question a young child cannot answer.
The purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. Colour Wise talks only to the store software already on your device, using Apple's StoreKit and Google Play Billing directly, with no other payment or subscription service in between. We do not receive your name, email address, payment card or any other payment information; we only see anonymous sales totals in the stores' developer reports.
4. Internet use
The game itself is stored entirely inside the app and does not connect to the internet to play. The only network activity is by Apple's or Google's store software when a grown-up checks the price, buys the unlock or restores it. On Android, the app carries the internet permission only because Google's billing component requires it.
5. Spoken words
Questions are read aloud using the text-to-speech voice built into your device. The words spoken are fixed phrases from the game, such as "Tap red". Nothing is recorded, and the microphone is never used.
6. Children's privacy
Colour Wise is designed for young children and their parents. Because the app collects no data at all, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the GDPR and its rules for children in the European Union and United Kingdom, the App Store Kids Category rules and the Google Play Families policy. No parental consent is needed for data collection because no data is collected.
7. Third-party software
The game is packaged with Capacitor, an open-source framework that lets a web game run as a native app, and uses Capacitor's haptics, preferences, splash screen, status bar and text-to-speech plugins. None of them sends data anywhere. The Baloo 2 typeface (SIL Open Font License) and the Twemoji picture set (CC-BY 4.0) are bundled inside the app; nothing is loaded from the internet.
8. Your rights
Because Colour Wise never sends data to a server, there is no database from which to retrieve, correct or delete your information. Your data lives on your device, under your control. The grown-ups area has a button that resets stars, stickers and scores, and uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
