Gramam, by Playpal Apps.

How do I do things?

Tap the thing itself: the lamp, the kettle, the pulley, the radio. If you wait a moment without touching the screen, faint rings appear on everything you can use, and after a little longer their names appear too. You can turn these hints off from the diary (the book, bottom right).

How do I go to the village?

Open the folded map (bottom left) and tap a place. Inside the tharavad, the small chevrons at the edges of a scene take you to the next room.

How do I cook?

In the adukkala, feed the aduppu some viraku first. Then tap the chatti, the chembu or the puttukutti to open Amma’s notebook and choose a recipe you have the ingredients for. Ingredients come from the thodi, the kulam, the kadavu, the visitors, and Kunjappan’s kada.

Where is the sound?

Check the sound toggle in the diary, and that your phone is not on silent. All sound in Gramam is synthesised live; headphones are recommended.

How do I start over?

On the title screen, tap and hold anywhere for a couple of seconds. This erases your progress.

Does the game need the internet?

No. Gramam is fully offline and never connects to anything.
